One Swipe Wonder for Eyes

For a made up eye without the faff you need eyeshadow sticks in your life, I love how a couple of swipes, quickly blend with your finger or a brush and your done. You can use them as eyeliners, line then smudge them out for a super quick smoky eye, or even on the waterline to build up the drama.
As a neutral eye lover I have built up a collection of neutral choices. Kiko Sticks (£6.90 here) I have mentioned these quite a few times, they are my favourite, as there is a wide colour range, they do not budge or smudge once set. Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks, highly pigmented not quite as long lasting and you will need a sharpener (£4.49 here) and Gosh Forever Eyeshadow (5.99 here) self sharpen, great colour range and fantastic value, are also serious contenders for the one swipe wonder and more readily available then Kiko.

Although this post is about creating a look with one shade it's worth noting, because swiping is quicker then packing on eyeshadows from a pan, you can use a couple of shades and create a more dramatic look. Like Light Copper on the inner half of the lid, Kiko 04 on the outer corner and blended into the crease, Kiko 06 on the waterline. The result? a look that took 2 minutes but appears to have taken 5-10!
