Drugstore Starter Kit

8:16 pm

If you are just starting wearing makeup I think it can be quite overwhelming as there is so many products to choose from. So I have put together a drugstore edit, I have kept it as condensed as possible, the products are all affordable and are easily found.

Base Products

L'Oréal Infallible Mattifying Primer (here) prepares the skin for foundation.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (here) lovely glowy easy to wear formula.
Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye Perfect & Cover Concealer (here) great for undereye concealing and illuminating.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (here) for blemishes and redness.
Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder (here) to set your base and control shine.

Cheeks & Warming The Skin

Soap  & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer (here) two great mat shades with no orange tones in sight!
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink (here) a lovely wearable shade that will suit lots of complexions.
Bourjois Cream Blush in shade 01 (here)  a cream to powder formula that brightens the complexion.

Eyes

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze (here)  a cream eyeshadow that can be used underneath eyeshadow to intensify the colour or on it's own.
Collection All About The Eyes (here)  a great little palette with 6 shades, really pigmented and fantastic value. This is now available in three other versions.
Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner (here)  my favourite eyeliner ever. It can be used on the upper water line without irritation or on the upper lash line to really smoke things up.
Collection Waterproof Fast Stroke Eyeliner (here) a precise applicator that allows you to draw a really defined cat flick.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bad Bronze (here) and Gosh Forever Eyeshadow Stick in Silver Rose (here) I  love eyeshadow sticks they are so quick and easy to use.
Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara (here) gives you really big lashes with a few coats.

Lip Products

Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss in Cashmere Rose (here)  shiny, non sticky, nourishing glossy goodness.
Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me (here)  a balm formula that imparts a touch of colour.
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie (here)  moisturizing with so many shades to choose from. This formula has been a favourite of mine for a really long time, and is a makeup bag must have.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in Make Me Blush (here) every girl needs a twist up chubby pencil in her kit and this is a really wearable pink shade.
MUA Lip Liner in Caramel Nougat (here)  a pinky nude shade to define the lips and make them look plumper.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Hot Pepper (here) if your feeling a little bolder this is a great way to wear red. Once set it lasts all day with hardly any  transfer and you will definitely get noticed!

Apart from the Essence mascara everything else is available from Boots & Superdrug, in regards to tools if you add the core collection for face and eyes from Real Techniques you will be all kitted out. Hope this helps!
