Kiko 212 Pearly Hazelnut from the Clics Palette

Using a transition shade is a game changer when it comes to a well blended eyeshadow look, my crease colours of choice is a tie between Mac's Wedge and Cork and Urban Decay's Buck, all three colours perform well, but I fancied something a bit different..

So I shopped my stash and decided to give Kiko 212 Pearly Hazelnut a whirl. It is on sale at the moment for £2.80 here. As the name suggests it a mid brown that runs very warm and is the exact shade of a hazelnut shell. The formula is buttery smooth and very pigmented which is exactly what I have come to expect from Kiko. This shade may be a little harsh on extremely fair skin but on my mid tone warm skin it really livens up my brown eyes and makes them pop. I have really been enjoying using one colour over the entire lid such as Mac All that Glitters or Patina, with the Kiko shade well blended into the crease for a simple daytime look and to ring the changes.

What is your go to transition shade?
