I have been watching Marlena from Makeup Geek on YouTube  for years and have always enjoyed her tutorials. So when Makeup Geek released 12 shades of Duochrome Eyeshadows I was really excited to try them out. Firstly lets talk about the price point at $6 (less than £4) a pan, we are talking incredible value. They are the same size as MAC pans which cost £10 each. In my experience Makeup Geek are equal and some shades are alot more pigmented then Mac eyeshadows, if they were sold in the UK I think I would collect them all!

I purchased 6 of the 12 shades:

Karma - golden base with yellow-green reflects.
Ritzy - warm red-brown base with green and gold reflects.
Havoc - warm red-brown base with teal reflects.
Typhoon - deep teal base with green and gold reflects.
Secret Garden - deep espresso base with bright teal reflects.
Steampunk - black base with rich copper relects.

Because of the complexity and shift of these shadows they are difficult to photograph and to be honest these swatches do not do them justice, the formula is really smooth and pigmented and the finish is shiny without being gritty or glittery. They are best applied with a finger or synthetic brush and dabbed on over the lid. They adhere to the lids with minimal fallout. I have really been enjoying having a play!
