Although not directly beauty related adding a green smoothie to the mix will definitely up the beauty stakes, because you are having a decent helping towards your five a day in one drink. The benefits I have noticed is my skin has improved, I have lost a couple of lbs, I seem to snack less and have improved energy levels. Also they taste very refreshing so great for this time of year.
The basic formula (serves 2 people)
2 Cups Leafy Greens
2 Cups Liquid
3 Cups Fruit
2 Cups Leafy Greens
2 Cups Liquid
3 Cups Fruit
Leafy Greens you can use Spinach , Kale, Swiss Chard or Dandelion to name but a few.
Liquid you can use Water, Almond Milk, Coconut Water or Coconut Milk.
Fruit make sure that at least one of your fruits are frozen, the smoothie tastes so much better extra chilled. You can freeze them overnight just portion and place in freezer bags.
You can also boost the formula by adding 1-2 spoons of any of the following Chia Seeds, Flaxseed, Hemp Seed, Cacao, Cinnamon or Acai Powder.
Measure liquid and greens and blend first before adding the fruit so you don't end up with chewy bits, then add the fruit and blitz till smoothie consistency. Really simple, experiment with different fruit and make sure it is ripe as it will taste sweeter. Although you can always use a cheeky squeeze of honey. Today I had Kale, Mixed Berries, Pineapple, Flaxseed, Kiwi and a couple of slices of lemon which added a lovely zingy-ness! All I need now is a cute jar and stripy straws!

A Bright colour, matt finish, extremely long lasting and feels comfortable on your lips? I always have dry lips and a matt finish tends to accentuate the problem enter Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick into my life. Bourjois really knocked it out of the park with this one, I absolutely adore these ultra cute lipsticks.
They come in 8 shades of which I have 4 to show you, shade 03 Hot Pepper, a gorgeous orange toned red, 06 Ping Pong, bright blue toned pink, 04 Peach Club, mid toned peach and 05 Ole Flamingo cerise pink, my favourite of the four and surprisingly wearable for such a bright colour.
The packaging looks snazzy and the outer colour corresponds with the lipstick which is helpful for grabbing the right shade. It has a doe foot applicator, I find I can draw a sharp cupids bow without a lip liner, which is great as who has time for lip liner? Once the lipstick dries down it does not budge and will last through eating, drinking and moderate kissing, I have not been able to fully test the last one as my hubby tends to avoid me if I have a bright lippy on! It also layers well in case you want to brighten things up in the afternoon. To completely remove you will need to use a oil cleanser or bioderma as it does leave a stain. My only quip is they do have a strange smell however once they dry down this dissipates also it is worth mentioning that the shade Peach Club is slightly patchy on application unlike the other shades that are opaque with one swipe.
Have you picked one up yet? I really fancy shade 08 Grand Cru a vampy deep red for the autumn! Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick are available here for £8.99.

I am sorry I have been absent for so long, but things have been going on in my personal life and I have not felt like blogging. Although my teeny tiny portion of the internet is very small, I seriously do appreciate anyone who has stopped by and read my blog. My all time views have reached past the 10,000 mark, which makes me very happy.
I really do enjoy blogging and believe it is my true vocation. I love to talk about makeup and because I do not know anyone in real life who shares this passion the only way to get my makeup geek on is to reach out to like minded BlushOHolic's. We all have a hobby or favourite pastime, which people around us might not understand, and if you are reading this then you share mine and we are gal/guy pals and that's cool.
So to summarise thank you if you are reading this now and I promise I will be back very soon.
